Today as I was reading the Word of God and contemplating what God has in store for us in the coming months, I was led to Ezekiel.  The sixteenth chapter is full of prophetic statements, warnings and promises as we live in this world.

Chapter 16:25-26 “Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and you shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.”

Saints of God, He has just been given a warning that our ways are as an ‘unclean woman’; filthy in God’s eyes.  We must turn from our own ways and seek His ways as they are higher and mightier than anything we might be able to do our design in this world.

Verse 25, I feel is a promise.  It is the promise that when we turn all things over to God, He will “sprinkle clean water” on us.  This is the Holy Spirit which will give us power and guide us into His ways for our lives.

He will cleanse us.  God sent His Son to was our sins with His own blood.  To not only cover them, but to ‘wash them away’.  In other words remove them from our lives.  But there is also a statement that he will cleanse us from all our idols.

What are your idols today?  Is it more power, more television, more control over your family?

God warns us about having idols.  Many of us say “I don’t worship a false idol” and all the time, we are more interested in the Internet and TV than we are seeking God’s face.  God is standing by waiting on you and I to turn off the idols of our world and desire more of Him.

In vs 26 God says “a new heart also will I give you and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and i will give you an heart of flesh.”

God wants us to have a heart of flesh that He can mold to His ways.  He desires us to have a tender heart, a broken spirit to have compassion for those who are hurting.  The unsaved need to be reached, but we must have compassion and burden for their souls.  They must not be permitted to stand before God with an unclean heart.

We all need a new heart and spirit to serve God.  We must seek God today and ask for our hearts to be broken for the lost.  We must pray God will break our hearts so we will seek Him and Him only.

I have spoken about Psalms 91 Ministries of Texas relocating, moving our headquarters to serve more people, to be about the Lord’s business to reach the unsaved, hurting, and those coming out of prison.  It is our desire to do this.  BUT, is it God’s will for us to move?

Is it God’s will for us to reach people in another location?  We will not move or leave our current community until the Lord releases us to move.  Until Beth and I, two souls joined as one in holy matrimony, totally agree in our spirits that what we’re doing is God’s Will and not our own, we will not move.  We will stand still.

We have found when the devil and his demons come to us with confusion, we must stand still and seek God’s Will and guidance for us.

If our nation, churches, and you and I do not stand still, turn from our wicked ways, to seek God we will receive as a nation, the wrath of God Almighty.  Did not he come against His own chosen people, Israel, because of their lack of faith and service to Him?

Today, I ask you “Will you stand still and seek God or do your own ‘thing’?”
