What Will You Do With God Now?

Jeremiah 29:11-14Jeremiah 29:11-14
English: King James Version (1611) - KJV

11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. expected...: Heb. end and expectation 12 Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. 13 And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. 14 And I will be found of you, saith the LORD: and I will turn away your captivity, and I will gather you from all the nations, and from all the places whither I have driven you, saith the LORD; and I will bring you again into the place whence I caused you to be carried away captive.

: “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected (expectation) end.  (12) then shall you call upon me, and I will hearken unto you.  (13) And you shall seek me, and find me, when you shall search for me with all your heart.”

I want you to think for a minute what you are going to do with God now?  What is it that God is seeking you to do for Him?

God has called each of us to do a work for Him. I was speaking with a pastor today who was saying some denominations do not believe we are here to do something for God.

God placed us here to serve Him.  He knows what He has called us to do.  He knows the thoughts of good and awesome blessings He feels we deserve.  He wants to bless our lives in great and mighty ways if only we will turn to Him!

Each one of us must call on God for our provisions.  To obtain those blessings, we must call on God the Father and obey His Word.  Then He will listen to us, bless us, and we will be his only.

There are those who feel not all of us are called by God to serve Him.  We are only here to float through this life and just wait to be with Him.  There is no holy living.  No obligation on our part to serve God with all of our hearts.

Philippians 1:6Philippians 1:6

says “Being confident of this very thing, that he which has begun a good work in you will perform it (finish it) until the day of Jesus Christ:”

God has called each of us to do His will to further the Kingdom of God.  In my opinion, when each of us were conceived, we also were called to do a work for Him.  What is it that God has called you to do?

May I ask, “What will you do with God now?”  Now that you have accepted Christ as your Savior, what in this world will you do for Him and with Him in your life?

Philippians says we should be confident God will complete the works He has called you to do.  At times in this life, we feel that we can come of no good.  There is only evil in our lives, depression, anxiety, and pain.

God has placed us on this earth to worship Him, serve Him, and accomplish the work He called us to do.  Even though many times we feel left out, God’s Word has promised He will perform that work which He has called us to if only we will serve Him.

If not, then we will have to pay the price which Jesus died on the cross for each of us.  Disobedience is sin against God.  Yes, there are sins of ‘omission’ and sins of ‘disobedience’.

Acts 26:16Acts 26:16

tells us
“But rise, and stand upon your feet: for I have appeared unto you for this purpose, to make you a minister and a witness both of these things which you have seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto you.”

The Holy Spirit was telling Saul who would become the Apostle Paul, to stand up, and do

what He had been called to do.  The work of a minister or one who shares the Gospel, and one who would witness and tell of the things God had done in his life.

You have been called as a Christian to tell of the wondrous things God has done for you. Oh, some of us have not experience miraculous healings as I have.  I am one who would be dead today in my sins if it had not been for the work of Jesus in my life a few years back.

I am not only to speak the Gospel; that is to read or quote the Scriptures, God’s holy Word to others, but also to preach and teach the Word.  Each of us who are believers, have the awesome responsibility to share God’s Word to bring others to Christ.

Some so-called “faith healers” of the past, merely showed the power of the Holy Spirit. Yes, there have been charlatans in the world.  Those shall have to pay for their wrong doings.

You and I must realize, being a Christian is only a starting line.  We do not cross the finish line until we cross over the ‘river’ to the hereafter.

When you and I get down and out, we must remember Philippians 4:13Philippians 4:13
English: King James Version (1611) - KJV

13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

through Christ which strengtheneth me.”

In this life, we must all remember that Christ Jesus is right there with us.  He has called us to do His work on this earth.  We must all seek to live holy and do the work the Father has called each of us to.

Again, I ask you, “What Will You Do With God Now?”
